This workshop explores a respectful and practical approach to addressing intimacy and sexual dynamics, essential yet challenging aspects of healthy relationships. Topics like differing expectations, societal taboos, personal insecurities, and cultural or religious influences create barriers to open discussion. Emotional vulnerability and communication gaps further complicate these conversations, making trust and a safe, non-judgmental space vital. Participants will learn the Chess and Hands Technique—innovative tools for navigating sensitive discussions and fostering connection. Building on Stylianos’ previous workshop, this session offers practical strategies for therapists, including identifying obstacles to dialogue, creating secure environments, and using experiential tools to address intimacy issues. These techniques help couples and therapists engage in constructive conversations about sexuality, enabling immediate application in therapy to support meaningful, respectful, and intimate connections.
