Great news!
The 22nd IAGP International Congress in Japan is moving forward as both an in-person and online event!
This will be a valuable platform for global collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
We would like to bring you some information about on-site and online participation.
The full Japanese Congress, August 20-23, is an IN-PERSON event.
Those who will go to Sapporo will enjoy:
* A first day of Education Experience Training seminars;
* Action large groups in the morning and analytic large group at night;
* Keynotes (3 with 3 discussants);
* Symposia (15 parallel sessions with oral presentations) for three days;
* Poster sessions;
* Small groups (each running for 3 days)
* Tens and tens of workshops
* Opening and closing ceremonies and Congress dinner and theatre events and other social gatherings!
If you register online, instead, (fees will be announced any time soon), you will enjoy:
* One of the 3 EET offered hybrid (you will be fully participating from remote)
* The three keynotes with the three discussant (the lectures/dialogues will be streamed online)
* Up to 3 fully hybrid workshops (fully hands-on even from remote)
* 7 different symposia to choose from (they all happen as parallel sessions, so you can decide to attend a different one each day). You can both deliver lectures from remote and be part of the discussion between audience and panelists.
As you can see, this version online will be smaller and less comprehensive than the in-person one.
This is due to the huge cost of technology to make it a fully hybrid Congress (we learned in Pescara that not all experiences can be hybrid. It’s either in-person or online, when you have limited resources).
On the other hand, thanks to the generous support of Tele’Drama International, part of the Congress can reach out to people and groups that otherwise would be cut out of this triennial event. So we can be more inclusive, more impactful, more democratic, and bring in the Congress a much richer diversity.
We hope to see you all, one way or another at the Congress!
