The IAGP Transcultural section invites all IAGP Members to the event: “Birth as a shared event in our world: How were we received into life, and how do we receive those who are newly born?”, which invites us to explore how the beginning of life is shaped by family, culture, and relational rituals across societies.
📅 Date: March 22, 2026
🕓 Time: 16:00-18:00 CET
🌍 Languages: Spanish and English
Birth is more than a biological event; it is an experience of encountering a body, a family, and a culture. We will explore how, in that instant of coming into the world, not only a baby is born, but new roles are also born: a mother, a father, a grandmother, a grandfather, a sibling…, and our relational matrix begins to take shape.
Arriving into the world means being received with gazes, gestures, rituals, and expectations. In every culture, the welcome to life marks our relational history. We invite you to explore in this session: How were we received? And how do we welcome those who arrive in our family and our culture today?
KINDLY NOTE THAT THIS AN EVENT FOR IAGP MEMBERS ONLY
