This is an online Expressive Arts Therapy course which provides hands on training using different modalities like art, movement, poetry, singing, instrumental music, storytelling and psychodrama inspired by both Egyptian and Indian civilizations. Expressive arts therapy is centered on expression, active participation, imagination and mind body connection. This process of creative arts sets up a platform to self-discovery and self-expression providing a safe outlet to relieve your emotions and secure a sense of control your life. Expressive Arts Therapy is a gentle non-judgmental approach enables you to gain awareness about what is happening in your unconscious, promoting healing.
This course comes as a fruit of active collaboration between two institutes affiliated to the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes(IAGP): The ًRakhawy Institute for Training and Research(RITR) and The Indian Institute of Psychodrama (IIP).

The framework of the training includes introduction to creative arts, followed by a session on arts and rituals from the past, present and future. In the next session you will be examining various forms of celebrations through paintings/ images. You will experience the process of psychodrama, dreams and drama in the upcoming session. Various other techniques like visual arts, masks, poetry, songs and storytelling will be used in this training session to bring to light the legacy of creative arts therapy between the Nile and the Cauvery.
